shame-what-shame:

Inspired by Lady Antebellum’s Just A Kiss

The song was probably not at all appropriate for this pairing, but who cares lets all pretend they’re in passionate love with each other okay?

I love all my followers so much and thanks for all your input and support. ♥

Kuroshitsuji Challenge 13: Do you like Pluto?

Does the fact that I have no relevant pictures to answer this question with imply anything? Haha. Actually, I don’t dislike Pluto but because he is such an irrelevant character to the series (or, rather, the anime) I don’t have a strong opinion of him regardless. To like or dislike him is essentially to like or dislike the protagonist’s goldfish. The only difference would be that the goldfish is magical and often naked and eventually has to die at the hands of my servants.

I like his hair, though. Does that account for anything at all?

Kuroshitsuji Challenge: 11. How do you feel about Ash/Angela?

Oh my goodness, I detested the character. To be honest, I did not feel too adamant about Black Butler after it deviated from the manga plot-line and I believe following what Yana Toboso intended would’ve made for a much more enjoyable show. (Secretly, I pray that Square Enix wil pull a Brotherhood move on Kuro and remake the anime in accordance to the manga!) In regards to Ash/Angela, I felt the character was rather annoying and useless. I felt the whole use of this character was to establish a rather cliche plot twist and thus the character him/herself was rather, in my opinion, overdone and predictable. Also, I didn’t like how they opened a can of whoop-butt on Sebastian- trying to go with that S&M feel, torturing Sebastian. Heck no, Mary-sure, heck  no! >:T (Though it did open the door to an interesting confession with a very sexy expression from Sebastian)

Oh no she didn’t.  That’s it, I love Yana Toboso.

Kuroshitsuji Challenge: 8. Saddest scene from Season 1.

“I wanted nothing more than to be a superb butler, but I have failed you.”

“No. This flower does not define us,”

The whole ending scene of episode 24, the season finale, was simply heart-wrenching. It actually conveyed a great deal of sorrow and melancholy, and I found myself begging for Ciel to live. This end, that seemed so saddening for both Sebastian and Ciel, definitely made me want to cry! When Sebastian tried to put that blue flower around his master’s hand, despite having lost his arm, the entirety of it all was just ridden with despair. Knowing Ciel’s life was coming to its eminent end, these last scenes were both beautiful and terribly trajic!

Kuroshitsuji Challenge Day 7: Funniest moment of season 1

An image doesn’t very much cut it, but this scene actually made me laugh out loud. In the middle of a rather serious scene and, knowing how somber this series can be, something as absurd as Sebastian “disguising” himself by putting on a hallowed deer head is ridiculous! Hearing those lines- “Wh-who is that man?! It’s a haunted deer!” only for Sebastian to reply in that (oh so sexy!) english accent, “No, sir, I am simply one hell of a deer.” That was just too much!

Kuroshitsuji Challenge 5: Your Favorite Opening

My favorite opening had to be that of the second season, hands down. The song, Shiver by The Gazette, is very beautiful and well-sung, plus the lyrics are fitting and very poetic. Lastly, the animation is amazing! I simply love the manner in which the portrayed the characters and the sequences with the rose petals was to die for. Very well done, in my opinion, and the best opening in either of the two seasons!

Kuroshitsuji 20 Day Challenge: 1. Your Favorite Character(s)

I simply can’t chose between Sebastian and Ciel, both are such dynamic, eye-catching characters. I’ve noticed I love novels that center around anti-heros (The Picture of Dorian Gray, Crime and Punishment, Frankenstein) and that seems to reflect here, too. I love how strong-willed and driven Ciel is to attain his revenge, his refusal to be weak and his insistancy to take control of his life by all means despite being so young catches my eye. Not to mention he’s adorable and has cute little flustered moments.

Sebastian is just irresistibly charismatic, despite how malicious he can be. I love his charming smiles and sarcastic behavior- Ooh, and he’s adorable fixation with cats! His entire enigmatic and dark personality makes him so very interesting, and his unceasing devotion to Ciel is fascinating- he can taunt him to shreds or protect him until the very end, and one can’t help but wonder if it’s a bit more of a friendship or intimacy than someone preparing their next meal. :)

Just finished watching the Kuroshitsuji dub on Netflix. Tons of fun, but I have to admit the anime does upset me. Even though it was made by the wonderful team that made the first adaption of Full Metal Alchemist and the animation was beautiful and extremely well-done, once the storyline deviated from Yana Toboso’s manga, I started frowning despite myself. Ash, Angela, and then season two, which was purely it’s own story in itself.

Though, I admit, Alois was an interesting little case. The parallel between Sebastian and Ciel in comparion to Claude and Alois was interesting- you really see this accentuated difference between the two children who suffered a similar past and were both extremely abused and mistreated. I appreciated that, actually. Alois was sometimes annoying and super promiscuous (thus the short-shorts and thigh highs?), but was secretly extremely sadistic and dependent on Claude, who showed little to no affection for the boy. He just kinda let him do his thing and behaved like a transparent tool to tickle his fancy until he grew bored. In comparison, Ciel is cold and driven by revenge, but internally is fragile and painfully aware of his flaws and, sometimes, caring to the few people who are not killed off from his side. Sebastian in turn serves him faithfully and with a mock-smile, always making light of him but oddly enough sometimes showing sincere concern and protection for his master.

I guess I like this picture alot to sum up the second season for me- Alois is dancing to his little salsa ways, Claude is stiff but consenting. Sebastian and Ciel, instead; Ciel is falling off the very edge and looks distraught, but Sebastian is holding on to him and with that smile, you can’t help but wonder if he’ll pull him up in the nick of time or let him fall away a bit, for the sake of letting him propel into despair. Hurm.

Ah, Yana Toboso, you’re artistic talent astounds me~

I have so many OVAs I want to watch of Kuroshitsuji, but they’re practically impossible to find online! -sob- Sebastian withdrawal affects, they’re a terrible thing. Anyways, since I mentioned that Code Geass was my love sophomore year, I’ll go on to say Bleach was my focus Junior year and now Kuroshitsuji is the object of my obsession now that I’m a senior. It seems I don’t watch that much anime or read that much manga, but when I do I get quite hooked lol
